What's new in Service Manager 9.61?

Service Manager 9.61 includes the following new features, enhancements, and support changes:

Big data

Feature Description
Hot Topic Analytics

This release introduces the following Hot Topic Analytics (HTA) enhancements.

  • Analyze bigger data volume

Previously, HTA can index three million records only. This release removes this limitation and HTA can analyze indexed data for Smart Search now.

  • Provide more meaningful topics

This release enhances the backend algorithm for Hot Topic Analytics so that the topics are more meaningful.

  • Consolidate indexes for HTA and Smart Search

This release reduces the overall data volume.

  • Add more filters to control HTA behavior

This release adds the following two filters to Advanced Filter so that HTA can generate a better Hot Topic Analytics map.

    • Min doc of topic: Controls the minimum number of records in each topic.

    • Topic number: Controls the number of topic blocks in the current Hot Topic Analytics map.

Disaster recovery The disaster recovery feature enables you to quickly recover your Smart Analytics data when Smart Analytics crashed. The data that can be recovered includes Hot Topic Analysis data, Smart Tickets data, and Smart Search data. You can recover data from the latest backup, and then perform a delta index to reindex the new data that is created after the backup.
Mandanten support in Smart Ticket In previous releases, Smart Ticket supports the multi-company mode only. Now this feature extends the multiple-tenancy function to support Service Manager Mandanten in Smart Ticket. You can enable Smart Ticket for different groups of data separated by Mandanten.

After you enable this parameter, the action buttons are displayed on the toolbar at the top of ESS pages instead of at the bottom.
