Username deployment

The Dell 6248 will terminate the telnet/ssh connection if the active username is deleted. Therefore, deploying a new device access username from NAS will not cause the old name to be removed. The old name must be removed manually.

Changing usernames

The Dell 6248 allows the addition of usernames with varying access levels. When deploying a new username, NAS does not determine the access level of the prexisting username. Instead, NAS will add the new username with an access level of 1 and set the enable password the current access rule or device settings.
