Requirements

This driver requires that the PDT password be placed into the password field, and the admin password be placed into the enable password field.

Because of the nature of this device, it is important that each device is managed by only one NAS server. Applying more than one NAS server to a device can cause overlay conflicts and result in data loss.

When too many RLogin users are connected, NAS may try to repeatedly log in to the device and possible cause a user lockout.

Task failures possible on a Solaris platform

On a Solaris platform, Nortel CS1000 tasks could fail with the error "No local ports available to handle RLogin connection".

Workaround:

Decrease the socket wait timeout. Enter the following shell command: ndd -set /dev/tcp tcp_time_wait_interval 60000
