SSH2 connection method

Due to library compatibility issues, the system is unable to connect to Riverbed devices using SSH2.

Workaround:

On the Edit Device page, scroll down to the "Connection Method" field and set the connection method to SSH1 Only.

Retrieve Running Configuration

Retrieving configurations

The driver is able to retrieve both the text configuration and the binary configuration from the Riverbed device. Note that the binary configuration is optional and is only retrieved upon request. Text configuration can be deployed to running configuration and binary configuration can be deployed as startup configuration. Although the link is "Deploy binary configuration and reboot", the system won't perform a reboot after binary configuration is deployed since this is not necessary.

Deploying configurations

The text configuration can be deployed to the running configuration. The binary configuration can be deployed as the startup configuration. Although the link is "Deploy binary configuration and reboot", the system will not reboot the device after a binary configuration is deployed since this is not necessary to activate the configuration.
