A single word	`cat`	Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats".
A phrase. You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase.	`"cat food"` (quotation marks)	Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations. Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase.

Custom Actions

The Custom Actions manager enables you to set up scripts to run custom actions on events. For example, you can add a text string to certain events to make them easier to identify in the Event Browser.

Note Only the attributes that can be edited in the Event Browser can be changed by the custom action scripts.

How to create a Custom Action

Click New or to open the Create Custom Action screen.

The button is displayed only when you open the Custom Actions screen (Administration > Operations Console > Custom Actions). If you are already on the Custom Actions screen, click New to open the Create Custom Action screen.
In the General section, enter a display name, and a description (optional) of the custom action.

Select Read-Only for custom actions that must not modify events.

Note If a script that is labeled as read-only attempts to modify an event, the script is not executed and an error message is logged in the opr-scripting-host.log file at the following location:

<OMi_HOME>log\opr-scripting-host

In the Properties section, click to add and order any JAR files required by the script (optional).

The ordering of the JAR files is used by the class path during execution. For example:

JAR file A contains a class x.y.z.

JAR file B contains a class x.y.z.

The ordering of the JAR files A and B dictates which class of which JAR file is loaded.

Note The maximum JAR file size that you can upload is determined by Max file upload size in KB infrastructure setting (Infrastructure Settings > Foundations > Security > Security - File upload). For more information about this setting, see the online help.

Enter a timeout value for the script in the Timeout field. If the script execution does not complete within the specified time, the script is ignored. You can uncheck the Ignore the script if not completed after check box, if you do not want to set timeout for the script.
Enter the text of the custom action Groovy script in the Script field.

Note Maximum supported script length is 250,000 characters.

Click Create.

Once the custom action is created, it appears in the list in the left pane.

You can click to activate the script and to deactivate the script. Alternatively, use the opr-script command-line interface to enable or disable a script. For more information, see opr-script Command-Line Interface .
Select Activate after save if you want to activate the script immediately (this option is selected by default). You can also activate the script later by clicking Activate.

Note If concurrent users are accessing the Custom Actions UI, use the browser refresh option to view the updated list of custom actions.

Custom Actions screen

UI Element	Description
	Opens the Create Custom Action screen. This icon is displayed as soon as you open the Custom Actions screen (Administration > Operations Console > Custom Actions). You can click either or New to create a new custom action.
New	Opens the Create Custom Action screen. For more information about creating custom actions, see How to create a Custom Action.
Edit	Opens the Edit Custom Action screen to edit an existing custom action.
Activate/Deactivate	Toggles between activating and deactivating the selected custom action. Inactive custom actions are indicated by Inactive icon.
Duplicate Item	Creates a copy of the selected custom action.
Revert	Reverts customized custom action to its predefined value.
Delete Item	Deletes the selected custom action. You can select and delete multiple custom actions at a time.
Search	Used to filter the custom actions based on a search string. The search string can include name or description of custom actions.
Status	Indicates whether the associated custom action is Active or Inactive.
Origin	Indicates the origin of the custom action: Predefined Predefined custom action is usually the content provided by HPE or HPE Partners and is designed to provide initial configurations for an OMi installation. After installing a predefined content pack, you may change the initial artifacts to suit your environment and management needs. Any modified predefined custom actions are labeled as Modified.It is not possible to remove predefined custom actions, but you can revert the customized custom actions to their original, "predefined" values. Custom A custom action that is created by a user is labeled as Custom. Modified A predefined custom action that is modified by a user is labeled as Modified.You can revert customized custom actions to their original, "predefined" values.
ID	ID of the custom action.
Timeout	Timeout value for the script. If the script execution does not complete within the specified time, the result of the script is ignored. The default timeout value is 3000 ms, the minimum value is 100 ms, and the maximum value is 300000 ms.
