Get Started with LDAP Manager

This chapter describes the necessary setup before accessing the LDAP Manager module.

Prerequisites:

The following software products are required to access the LDAP Manager module:

  1. UCMDB Server 10.33 or later.
  2. UCMDB Browser 4.14 or later.

How to Access LDAP Manager

  1. Go to UCMDB Home using either of the following methods:

    • Access UCMDB Browser 4.14. On the Search page, click Access the UCMDB Home under the search box.
    • In the web browser, type <protocol>://<server_name>:<port_number>/ucmdb-browser/ui and then press Enter. Provide user name and password if required.

  2. (Optional) Add the UCMDB URL to your browser's list of Trusted Sites or Exceptions, then refresh the UCMDB Browser's page if the following error message appears:

    Something went wrong. You're probably using a self signed certificate. Please click 'OK' to visit the UCMDB URL, then add it as an exception in your browser and refresh this page.

    Note If you click OK and the UCMDB website does not open, check the address bar and if it is marked with Pop-ups blocked, allow the pop-ups for this site.

    To add the UCMDB URL to the Trusted Sites list in your web browser, do the following:

  3. Click the menu icon on the upper left corner to expand the navigation bar, and then select the LDAP Manager module.

Note  

  • You can also access the LDAP Manager module from UCMDB Browser > Administration Console > LDAP Mapping module. For details, see "Logging In" section in the Universal CMDB Browser Installation and Configuration Guide.
  • You can also access the LDAP Manager module from the UCMDB UI 10.33 (or later) > Security > LDAP Mapping > Open New LDAP Mapping button.
