Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

The Configuration Management System (CMS) Documentation Library provides the most up-to-date version of Universal CMDB (UCMDB), Configuration Manager (CM), and Universal Discovery (UD) documents available on the Software Support portal.

Universal CMDB documentation is also available on the Software Support site. To check for recent updates or to verify that you are using the most recent edition of a document, go to the Software Self-Solve Knowledge Search site.

The Help menu in the Universal CMDB and Discovery client provides access to the same material that is in the User Guides. Additionally, the Help Center home page in the UCMDB Help provides links to the ITOM Marketplace, the Micro Focus Support Online portal and Forums, and this CMS Documentation Library which contains all of the most up-to-date guides available on the Micro Focus Software Support Portal.

All Manuals Download
After downloading the All Manuals Download zip file (go), unzip the full set on your local directory. You can then search across the doc set using the Advanced Search capabilities in Adobe Acrobat.
To search for a keyword across all documents in the documentation set:

Open any PDF document in the local directory.

Select Edit > Advanced Search (or Shift+Ctrl+F).

Select the All PDF Documents in option and browse for the local directory.

Enter your keyword and click Search.
Register for Documentation Change Notifications
You can register to receive e-mail notifications whenever CMS documentation is updated. This service is available to anyone with a Software Passport.
To register for documentation change e-mail notifications:
- Go to the Software Support Online (SSO) portal at: https://softwaresupport.softwaregrp.com/
- Sign in using your Software Passport credentials.
- In the Short-cuts section, select E-mail notifications.
- A number of notification options are available depending on your authorization.
Select the Register for document e-mail notifications option. - Complete the registration form to request e-mail notifications whenever documentation is updated.
- Click Register to complete the registration.
