Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Create, edit, and manage topology designs
To create a topology design
- Go to Topology Designs.
- Click Create to create a new design.
To edit a topology design
- Go to Topology Designs.
- Select a design to view its details.
- Click Edit.
Toplogy design properties
You can change the following properties for a new or existing design:

Palette - For a new design only, select the palette for the design. See Palettes
- Display Name - Provide the display name for the design.

Description - Provide the description for the design.

Initial Version - Provide the version number you want to assign to the design.

Image - Select an image that displays for the design. If you upload your own image, the supported file extensions include .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, and .png. The recommended image size is 256 by 256 pixels, and the image will be scaled to the appropriate size.

Tags - Click Select Tags to choose from a list of tags that you can define to provide a structure for organizing and grouping the service designs. You can select more than one tag for a design. To remove a tag, hover the cursor over the tag you want to remove, and click the Delete icon.
Manage design as application design or service design
You can classify a selected topology design as either an application design or as a service design.
- Navigate to Designs > Topology design > Designer.
- Select a design to modify.
- Click Actions Menu and select Manage Release Automation.
- Select one of the following design classes:
- Application design, to manage the selected design as an application across lifecycle stages in the release automation.
- Service design for design composition, to make the selected design available as a service design or microservice design, when provisioning an application design for the selected lifecycle stages.
If you select Service design for design composition, you can select the lifecycle stages in which the selected design must be available.
