Description
The Service Health Optimizer (SHO) product bundles the PMDB component of Service Health Reporter (SHR) product for data collection and aggregation. All data that is required by SHO is collected by SHR's PMDB component and stored in its data warehouse.
SHO performs additional aggregations/analytics on virtualization-specific data and stores it on tables that are created in the PMDB. SHO then uses this data to provide the Capacity Management functionality in its GUI.
SHR is no longer a mandatory prerequisite for installing SHO. SHO now packages the performance management database thus enabling it to be a self-contained Installer. If SHO and SHR are installed on the same system, both products share the performance management database for storing and processing the data.
