Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

How to create an infrastructure & peripheral asset record
You can create an infrastructure & peripheral asset record with the following methods:
Method 1: create a new infrastructure & peripheral asset record

From the main menu, select Build > Service Asset & Configuration

From SACM Home, select Infrastructure & Peripherals.

Click New.

In the New Infrastructure & Peripheral Asset dialog box, provide all requested information. This dialog requests values for the basic infrastructure & peripheral asset attributes.
Field Description Select phase The phase that the asset is currently in. Display label External (common) name of the asset. Subtype A level of categorization of the asset. Model The asset model. For example, Monitors. Owner The person who manages or monitors the asset.
Asset tag Physical assets have physical tags attached with a unique identifier.
Location Physical location of a physical asset. The only stockrooms available for selection are those that are operationalA stockroom is operational when it is in the Operational phase of the workflow..
When the asset is in the In stock phase, this value is read-only, and is automatically populated with the location of the selected stockroom.
Serial number The manufacturer's assigned serial number or unique ID.

Click Save.
Method 2: duplicate an existing infrastructure & peripheral asset record

From the main menu, select Build > Service Asset & Configuration.

From SACM Home, select Infrastructure & Peripherals.

Select the record you want to duplicate.

Click the record identifier in the ID column to display the selected record.

Click Duplicate on the toolbar. The New Infrastructure & Peripheral form is displayed.

Make any required edits to the new record, and click Save.
When you duplicate an infrastructure & peripheral asset record, the values of all the fields of the existing record are copied to the matching fields in the new form. Exception: the following fields in the new form are not populated when you duplicate an infrastructure & peripheral asset record.
