The Essential Cluster Management Template monitors the high availability (HA) components such as the cluster strength, nodes and resource pool availability in a clustered environment. It monitors the single point of failure (SPOF), quorum conditions and node strength of the components in a clustered environment. The Essential Cluster Management Template comprises of specific Aspects for monitoring these features.

Management Template - General

Provides an overview of the attributes of the Management Template.

UI Element	Description
Name	Essential Cluster ManagementTemplate
Description	Manage high availability cluster environment by keeping track of cluster strength, node, and resource pool availability.
ID	A unique identifier for the Graphic User Interface (GUI) version of the Management Template.
Version ID	A unique identifier for this version of the Essential Cluster Management Template.
Version	The current version of the Management Template. In this instance, the version of the Management Template is 1.0.
Change Log	The text that describes what is new or modified in this version of the Management Template.

Management Template - Topology View

Provides an overview of the CI type you want to assign to the Management Template.

UI Element	Description
Topology View	HACluster_Infrastructure is the topology view for Essential Cluster Management Template. It contains the CI types that you want to manage using the Management Template.
CI Type	This is the type of CI to which the Management Template can be assigned. The Essential Cluster Management Template contains FailoverCluster CI Types.

Cluster Strength and Status

This Aspect monitors the single point of failure (SPOF), quorum conditions, and node strength in a clustered environment. This Aspect consists of the following policy templates:

A single point of failure alert is raised when a single node is active and all other nodes are inactive in a cluster. This is a risk in a high availability environment. If the number of inactive nodes is greater than the number of defined nodes in a cluster, the quorum value is not met and an alert is raised.	Measurement Threshold Template
