Accounting period workflow

This section describes the metaphases and subordinate phases in the life cycle of an accounting period record. All transitions between phases are manually triggered.

ClosedMetaphase: Initial
Phase Transition Description
New Manual

This is the starting point for the accounting period. An accounting period is in this phase after being created.

To make the accounting period active, manually transition it to the Open phase.

Next phase: Open

ClosedMetaphase: Active
Phase Transition Description
Open Manual

The accounting period is available for selection.

Next phase: Close

ClosedMetaphase: Inactive (End)
Phase Transition Description
Close Manual

The accounting period is not available for selection.
