Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

How to build the Service Catalog
The Service Portal comprises the services and offerings defined in the Service Catalog. The services are categorized and offer various offerings.

From the main menu, select Plan > Service Catalog > Catalog.

In the Category pane, add a category or select an existing category.
To add a category:

Click Add a Category. The New Category dialog box is displayed.

Enter a Display label. The name of the category.

Enter a Description. A description of the category.

Select a Background image, Background color, and Image, and enter a Display order and URL, as required. For detailed information, see How to design category tiles for the Service Portal.

Click Save.

Add services to the selected category.
- In the Service panel, click Add a Service.

To define a new service, select Create New, and enter a name for the service.
Alternatively, to select a service that is already defined in the Service Portfolio, select Choose from Service Portfolio, and in the name field, select a service from the list.

Define a description for the service. This description should be what you want to display in the context of the Service Portal. For overview information, see Service definitions.
A service becomes available in the Service Portal only when it reaches the operational metaphase of its workflow. For more information, see Service component workflow.

Add offerings under the selected service.

Click Add an Offering and define a name and description for the offering.
- Select the offering type: Service/Support.
- Activate the offering if desired.

Results
In the Service Portal the Catalog categories are displayed on the Home page.
Clicking a category box displays its defined operational services, and subsequently all of each service's active offerings, as long as the user is included in the audience selected for the offering.
