On-Call Schedule Management user interface

If this feature is enabled, and you have the appropriate permission, the On-Call Schedule Management feature allows you to view all the groups currently on-call, and the members of the groups. For more information, see How to set up On-Call Schedule Management.

To view On-Call Schedule Management, from the main menu, select Run > On-Call Schedule. The On-Call Schedule landing page is displayed:

View group calendar

Click this to display the calendar for the group selected in the main section. See Group calendar.

Main section (group list)

Lists the available groups according to the selected view. For more information about groups, see Groups.

The right panel

As you select a group from the list, the right panel displays:

  • Current members who are on call.

  • Group members.

If a member is on vacation, information about this is displayed next to the name. Click the calendar icon beside the member name to display the schedule for the group member. See Schedule.

Group calendar

To access, from the main menu, select Run > On-Call Schedule > View group calendar.

Displays the members and the on-call shifts for the selected group. Out-of-the-box, only an administrator and all members of the group can view the group calendar.

Left panel

This panel displays the names of the members of the group:

  • The time the member is next due to be on call is displayed next to the name.

  • If a member is on vacation, information about this is displayed next to the name.

  • Click the calendar icon beside the member name to display the schedule for the group member. See Schedule.

Click to add an on-call shift. For more information, see How to set up on-call shifts.

Calendar

The calendar displays the selected date range and on-call shifts. The calendar displays up to three months ahead, and one month back.

Click a shift to open it. If it is a recurring shift, an option is displayed to open the current or recurring shift.

  • Click Add on-call shift, to add a shift. For more information, see How to set up on-call shifts.

  • Click DAY, WEEK, or MONTH to have the calendar display accordingly.

  • Click the next or previous icons to move backwards or forwards in the calendar.

  • Click TODAY, to have the calender display the current day if it is not already doing so.

To access the group calendar, from the main menu, select Run > On-Call Schedule > View group calendar.

Schedule

Displays the schedule of on-call shifts for an individual in a calendar format. The calendar displays up to three months ahead, and one month back. Out-of-the-box, only an administrator, the user's manager, and all members of the group can view the schedule. Only the manager of another user can edit the other user's personal schedule.

  • Click Add vacation, to add a vacation to the calendar. For more information, see How to set up working hours.

  • Click Manage working hours, to add or edit working hours. For more information, see How to set up working hours.

  • Click DAY, WEEK, or MONTH to have the calendar display accordingly.

  • Click the next or previous icons to move backwards or forwards in the calendar.

  • Click TODAY, to have the calender display the current day if it is not already doing so.

To access the schedule, click the calendar icon beside the name of the group member.
