Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

View the audit history of a configuration item
In addition to recording activity updates, the Configuration Management module also provides field-level audit history for updates to a configuration item (CI). An audit log entry is created when a field value is updated.
Note Audit log entries are created for a CI record only when:
- the CI type joindef is
joinnode
orjoinbizservice
- updates are made to the fields that are defined in auditspecs table
joinnode
orjoinbizservice
.
To view the audit history of a configuration item, follow these steps:
- Click Configuration Management > Resources > Search CIs.
- Perform a search to locate the CI.

In the CI record, click More > Audit History.
If the CI has a list of audit log entries, the list of entries is displayed. If only one entry, the entry is displayed.
If the CI has no audit history, a message is displayed.

Click one entry from the list to open it.
Each audit log entry provides the following information:
- File: The dbdict that was audited.
- Unq A: By default, the record ID is displayed.
- Unq B: By default, this field is empty.
- Unq C: By default, this field is empty.
- Unq D: By default, this field is empty.
- Date: The date when the audit log entry was created
- Oper: The ID of the operator who modified the source record, causing (through some actions) the audit log entry to be created
- Field: The name of the field that was modified.
- Old: The old value/array of the field
- New: The new value/array of the field
