Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.
|A single word||
||Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats".|
You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase.
Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations.
Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase.

Universal CMDB is a Configuration Management database for enterprise IT organizations to capture, document, and store information about configuration items (CIs), service dependencies, and relationships that support business services. When integrated with a Service Manager system, Universal CMDB stores the actual state of CIs and CI relationships, while the Service Manager system stores the expected or managed state of the CIs. Service Manager tracks any change requests, baselines, and historical updates CIs in the Universal CMDB.
The SM-UCMDB integration documentation describes how to establish and maintain a connection between the UCMDB and Service Manager systems to synchronize configuration items between the systems and trigger appropriate actions in Service Manager. Since the integration is based on an integration adapter, the integration documentation provides instructions on how to set up the integration using the supported adapters.
Note Service Manager can also integrate with UCMDB Configuration Manager (a UCMDB component) and UCMDB Browser (a UCMDB add-on).
