Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

How to create and edit a stockroom record
You record information about the content of your stockrooms from the Stock Management submenu of the SACM module.

To manage stockrooms, you must have the Stockroom Admin role.

Before you create a stockroom record, a user with access to the application administration modules, and create, update, and delete permission for Locations, must create it as a location. For more information, see Locations.
Create a stockroom record

From the main menu, select Build > Service Asset & Configuration.

From SACM Home, select Stock Management.

Click New.

Enter the details of the new stockroom. See Stockroom record details below.

Save the record.
Edit a stockroom record

From the main menu, select Build > Service Asset & Configuration.

From SACM Home, select Stock Management.

Click the record identifier in the ID column to display the selected record.
To filter the record list, click the Add filter button. For more information, see Filters.

Update the details of the stockroom. See Stockroom record details below.

To open, join, or view a discussion or to view or post comments, click the Discussions tab. For more information, see Discussions.

To view changes or updates made to the record, click the History tab. For more information, see History.

To view assets stored in the stockroom, click the Assets in stock tab.
To filter the assets, click the Add filter button.
Assets are added to the stockroom when they are in the In stock phase. For more information, see How to edit a device record and How to edit an infrastructure & peripheral asset record.

Save the changes.
You can edit multiple records simultaneously by selecting them in the grid and updating them in the Preview pane on the right. For more information, see Mass update.
Stockroom record details

General details
Field Description Title The name of the stockroom. Code A code for the stockroom.
You should use a standardized convention for your stockroom codes.
Supervisor The name of the stockroom supervisor. Last inventory date The date that inventory was last taken. Stockroom location The location of the stockroom. This information is entered into the Locations module by the tenant administrator.
Note The only locations available for selection are those that have their type set to stockroom, and are marked as active.
Delivery instructions Instructions provided to suppliers for delivering stocks to the stockroom. Locations served Locations served by the stockroom. Attachments Attachments related to the record.
To attach a file to the record, click Add attachment.

The following file formats are supported: jpg; jpeg; gif; png; doc; docx; ppt; pptx; xls; xlsx; pdf; txt; xml; zip; msg; sql; gz; rar; tar; 7z.

The maximum file size of an attachment is 10 MB.

If the Attachments field has been defined as encrypted for this record type and you are a member of an encryption domain, click Add encrypted attachments to attach an encrypted file to the record.

Attachments are not visible in the Service Portal.
