Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Enable Configuration Management access
Applies to User Roles:
System Administrator
Capability words provide a security mechanism to control access to HPE Service Manager applications by enabling or disabling parts of the interface. You can add capability words to a user role or individual operator to control user access to Configuration Management.
To enable Configuration Management access, follow these steps:
- Click System Administration > Ongoing Maintenance > Operators.
- Use search or advanced search to find one or more records.
- Select the operator record that you want to grant access to Configuration Management.
- Click the Startup tab.

Add the desired Configuration Management capability words to Execute Capabilities. Click Find or Fill to select an applicable capability word.
For example: Select ICMAdmin to grant administrative access to Configuration Management or select inventory managementto grant access to Configuration Management.
- Click Save.
