Configure Email Notifications

This task describes how to configure your system so that you can be sent an overview of events for which you may need to perform some action.

Note Clicking on a link in an email notification on a mobile device opens the UCMDB Browser module.

  1. Prerequisites

    Make sure that the system administrator has specified the following:

  2. Specify notification content and frequency

    1. Click the User Preferences button. Click Notifications.
    2. Select the Enable notifications check box.
    3. Do the following:

      1. Select the views for which you want to receive notifications.

      2. Specify the types of items for which you want to receive notifications, and whether or not to received details about these items, or only a summary.

        Note If you want to receive direct links to these items in the Review/Authorize module of Configuration Manager, you must choose to receive details.

      3. Specify the frequency at which you will receive the notifications.
    4. Click Apply, and then click OK.
