Learn more about changes

Change Management includes the activities necessary for you to control changes to service assets and configuration items across the entire service life cycle. It provides standard methods and procedures to use when implementing all changes.

Service Management's Change Management module helps ensure that your organization:

  • Follows a predefined change process.

  • Notifies stakeholders at checkpoints in that process.

  • Monitors the progress of each change request.

  • Notifies stakeholders if deadlines are missed.

  • Tracks each change through the appropriate life cycle: simple or complex.

  • Adheres to ITIL V3 recommendations for standard, normal, and emergency change requests.
