How to move a phase or transition in a process

The following tasks describe how to move a phase or transition within a process in Studio.

Note If you have development and production tenants, all configuration changes must be made on the development tenant. For more information about synchronizing the tenants, see Dev2Prod - How to synchronize your development and production tenants.

To move a phase

  1. In the main menu, select Administration > Configuration > Studio.

  2. Select the record type from the drop-down box at the top of the screen and select the Processes and Rules tab.

  3. Select a phase in the process and click the Move icon . Alternatively, select a phase in the tree on the left, click Edit and click the Move icon .

  4. In the Move phase dialog box, select the required metaphase from the drop-down list and click OK.

  5. Alternatively, select the Properties tab on the right and select the required metaphase from the drop-down list.

  6. Click Save to save your changes.

To move a transition

  1. Select a transition in the process and click the Move icon . Alternatively, select a transition in the tree on the left, click Edit and click the Move icon .

  2. In the Move transition dialog box, select the required phases from the drop-down lists.

  3. If you want to change the direction of the transition, click the Change direction button . Click OK.

  4. Click Save to save your changes.

Note You cannot move phases or transitions in a process while in Comparison mode. You must switch to Standard mode to move the phases and transitions.
