Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Prerequisites
The following sections list the prerequisites for the installation or upgrade of OpsCx for CA APM.
Application Software
Before you install or upgrade OpsCx for CA APM, the following software applications must be installed and configured:

TCP/IP Ports
The following table lists the ports that OpsCx for CA APM uses by default. In your Operations Connector environment, these ports may not be used by other software applications.

If you cannot ensure the default ports are free, you can still change the port numbers while configuring OpsCx for CA APM. Keep in mind that changing the port numbers includes mandatory actions also in the third-party system management application or Operations Connector.
Other Prerequisites and Requirements
The following is a list of additional prerequisites and the requirements you must consider before installing the product:
- To be able to configure and administer OpsCx for CA APM, familiarize yourself with Operations Connector and its web interface. For example, you can learn how to import, activate, and reconfigure policies. For information on these and other relevant topics, see the BSM Connector User section.
- The OpsCx for CA APM sends data collection requests to the CA APM Enterprise Manager on
<CA-APM-EM_hostname>:<8081>. Make sure connection exists between the OpsCx for CA APM and CA APM EM.
