Prerequisites

The sections that follow list the prerequisites that need to be fulfilled to enable installation of OpsCx for Zabbix.

Application Software

Before you install OpsCx for Zabbix, the following software applications must be installed and configured.

TCP/IP Ports

The following table lists the ports that OpsCx for Zabbix uses by default. In your OpsCx environment, these ports may not be used by other software applications.

Port Number Port Description
80

Default port on Zabbix server, to which OpsCx for Zabbix connects to read events, metrics and topology data using HTTP protocol.

If the port is changed on the Zabbix server, the same port number must be specified in the OpsCx for Zabbix configuration files.

443

Port used for communication between the OpsCx and the Zabbix server using HTTPS protocol.

If the port is changed on the Zabbix server, the same port number must be specified in the OpsCx for Zabbix configuration files.

30005

Default port of Operations Connector policies of the REST Web Service Listener

type. Used for dispatching zabbix both events and metrics to the respective Operations Connector policies.

If you cannot ensure the default ports are free, you can still change the port numbers while configuring OpsCx for Zabbix. Keep in mind that changing the port numbers includes mandatory actions also in the third-party system management application or OpsCx.

The following is a list of additional prerequisites and the requirements you must consider before installing the product:
