Installing Ops Connector for OneView

To obtain and install OpsCx for OneView, perform the following steps:

  1. From the web site Marketplace, download the OpsCx for OneView product installation package (product image archive) for the target operating system on the Operations Connector host.

  2. Store the product image archive in a temporary location on the Operations Connector host.

Note: If you already have other GenInt-based integrations installed on your Operations Connector system, and the GenInt version is older, it is updated. If the GenInt version is appropriate, only the OpsCx for OneView is installed in this case.

You must stop other GenInt-based integrations before you start the installation.

  3. Install OpsCx for OneView on the Operations Connector host as follows, depending on the target operating system:

    • Windows:

      1. Launch Windows Explorer and locally unpack the product image archive
        ProductImage-HPBsmIntOneView-<Version>-Win5.2_64-release.zip.

      2. To start the installer program, change the current directory to
ProductImage-HPBsmIntOneView-<Version>-Win5.2_64-release and double-click the following file:

        HPBsmIntOneView_<Version>_setup.exe

      3. Follow the instructions displayed by the installer program. If all prerequisite checks pass, click Install to start the installation.

      4. To close the installer program, click Done after the installation completes.

    • Linux:

      1. Open command shell and locally unpack the product image archive
        ProductImage-HPBsmIntOneView-<Version>-Linux2.6_64-release.tar.

      2. To start the installer program, change the current directory to
ProductImage-HPBsmIntOneView-<Version>-Linux2.6_64-release and run the following command:

        HPBsmIntOneView_<Version>_setup.bin

      3. Follow the instructions displayed in the installer program. If all prerequisite checks pass, click Install to start the installation.

Note: If the installation is invoked from a remote client without X Window System support, it starts in the command-shell mode instead of the graphical mode. In this case, enter your choices using your keyboard.

      4. To close the installer program, click Done after the installation completes.
