Configuration Files in Distributed Setups

OpsCx for VROPS uses remote integration configuration file. It resides in the Operations Connector host.

Configuration Options on the Operations Connector Host

The following tables list options in bsmc_remote.conf, the shared integration configuration file on the Operations Connector host in a distributed setup.

Basic Options

Option Name Description, (Default) Value

server-name

You may not alter this option.

Value: localhost

port

Default port of Operations Connector policies of the REST Web Service Listener type. As long as you do not reconfigure Operations Connector, you may not alter this option.

Default value: 30005

vrops-hostname

FQDN or IP address of your VROPS virtual machine.

Default value: example.org

vrops-service

You may not alter this option.

Value: https

use-encryption

This option enables or disables encrypted communication using the AES-256 encryption standard.

Default value: true

encryption-secret

Encryption secret string.

This option must be set when the use-encryption option is set to true.

Default value: mypassword

port

Default socket communication port used for receiving the events and topology data from a remote VROPS virtual machine.

Default value: 30006

disable-ipv6

The option that, when set to true, causes the OpsCx for VROPS to use the IPv4 protocol for network communication even when an IPv6 network is configured and available.

Default value: true
