Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Install Ops Connector for SIM
To obtain and install Ops Connector for SIM, perform the following steps:

From the web site Marketplace, download the Operations Connector product installation package (product image archive) for the target operating system on the Operations Connector host.

Store the product image archive in a temporary location on the Operations Connector host.

Check if there are Operations Connector complements for other systems management applications already installed on the Operations Connector host. If such complements are present, stop their data collection integration services.
Operations Connector may include a newer version of GenInt from the already installed Operations Connector complements. In this case, the installed GenInt is upgraded. GenInt is backward compatible.

Install Operations Connector on the Operations Connector host as follows, depending on the target operating system:

Windows:

Launch Windows Explorer and locally unzip the product image archive
ProductImage-HPBsmIntSIM-<Version>-Win5.2_64-release.zip
. -
To start the installer program, change the current directory to
ProductImage-HPBsmIntSIM-<Version>-Win5.2_64-release
and double-click the following file:HPBsmIntSIM_<Version>_setup.exe

Follow the instructions displayed by the installer program. If all prerequisite checks pass, click Install to start the installation.

To close the installer program, click Done after the installation completes.

Linux:

Open command shell and locally untar the product image archive
ProductImage-HPBsmIntSIM-<Version>-Linux2.6_64-release.tar

To start the installer program, change the current directory to
ProductImage-HPBsmIntSIM-<Version>-Linux2.6_64-release
and run the following command:./HPBsmIntSIM_<Version>_setup.bin

Follow the instructions displayed in the installer program. If all prerequisite checks pass, click Install to start the installation.
If the installation is run from a remote client without X Window System support, it starts in the command-shell mode instead of the graphical mode. In this case, enter your choices using your keyboard.

To close the installer program, click Done after the installation completes.

- If there are Operations Connector complements for other third-party system management applications already installed on the Operations Connector host, start the data collection services of these complements again.
