Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Install
Before installing OpsCx for SIM, go through a list of the supported operating systems and consider the prerequisites. Before you start with the installation process, familiarize yourself with the conventions listed in the table in this section.
Installation of Operations Connector consists of several tasks. Complete them in the following order:

Obtain Operations Connector and install it. See Install Operations Connector topic.
- Install Topology Synchronization package. See Install Topology Synchronization Package topic.
- Install the event backward synchronization script. See Install Event Backward Synchronization Script topic.
OpsCx for SIM does not support upgrade scenarios. If you have a previous product version installed on the target host, remove it first. It is recommended that all relevant data is backed up prior to the removal.
Conventions Used in the Installation, Configuration, and Other Procedures
The following placeholders are used in the instructions throughout this document. When performing the steps specify the actual value in place of each placeholder.
