Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Obtaining the Microsoft SCOM SDK Assembly Files
To make the required assembly files (dynamic link libraries) of the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager SDK available to OpsCx for Microsoft SCOM, perform the following steps:

Depending on whether you have access to the Microsoft SCOM host, proceed as follows:

Locate the following files in the
<SCOMHome>\SDK Binaries
directory on the Microsoft SCOM host:Ops Connector for SCOM 2012 or later:
Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Core.dll
Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.dll
Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Runtime.dll
Ops Connector for SCOM 2007:
Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.Common.dll
Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.dll

Copy the files to a temporary directory on the Operations Connector host. This directory is referred to as
<SDKAssemblyFilesDir>
in the remainder of the document.If you are copying assembly files for multiple Microsoft SCOM versions, choose a different temporary directory for each file group to prevent overwriting the file with the same name.

Ops Connector for SCOM 2012 or later:

Open a web browser and navigate to the web site http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-system-center.

In the System Center <version> Download part, click Sign In.

On the Sign in to your Microsoft account web page, enter the e-mail address and password of your Microsoft account, and click Sign in. If you do not have a free Microsoft account, click Sign Up to get one.

On the Technet Evaluation Center web page, in the System Center <version> Download part, click Register to continue.

Enter the required data and click Continue.

In the line next to
SC<version>SCOM<*>.exe
, click Download, and save the self‑extracting archiveSC<version>SCOM<*>.exe
to a temporary location. If prompted, allow saving the file. -
Run
SC<version>SCOM<*>.exe
. If prompted, click Run to allow opening the file. -
If prompted, click Yes to allow the program to make changes to your system. The SC<version> SCOM Setup Wizard window opens.

In the Setup Wizard, click Next.

Optional: To select a different directory for extracted contents, click Browse, navigate to the chosen directory, and then click OK.

Click Next and then click Extract on the next page.

When the process completes, close the Setup Wizard by clicking Finish.

Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to the directory you extracted the files to. From this directory, navigate to the
setup\AMD64
subdirectory. -
Copy the files to a temporary directory on the Operations Connector host. This directory is referred to as
<SDKAssemblyFilesDir>
in the remainder of the document.If you are copying assembly files for multiple Microsoft SCOM versions, choose a different temporary directory for each file group to prevent overwriting the file with the same name.
Ops Connector for SCOM 2007:

Open a web browser and navigate to the web site http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9524.

Click Continue and save the self‑extracting archive
OPSMGR2007R2EVAL.exe
, linked asSystem Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 – Evaluation Edition
, to a temporary location. If prompted, allow saving the file. -
Run
OPSMGR2007R2EVAL.exe
. If prompted, click Run to allow opening the file. -
Click OK to dismiss the welcome window. The WinZip Self-Extractor window opens.

Click Browse, select a temporary location to extract the contents to, and click OK.

Clear the When done unzipping open: .\evalcdimage\setupom.exe option.

To extract the archive contents, click Unzip. When the process completes, close WinZip Self-Extractor by clicking Close.

Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to the directory you extracted the files to. From this directory, navigate to the
evalcdimage\Server\AMD64
subdirectory. -
Double-click the
OMCore.Cab
cabinet file to open it, and extract the following files to a temporary directory:F_Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.Common.dll \
