Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Specify CI Types Returned in Search Results (legacy search engine)
In the legacy search engine, this Boolean configuration allows the user to control which CI types are returned in search results.
In UCMDB, configuring the CI Types to be returned in Search Results is done through the Show only results with CI Types with CMS_BROWSER_SEARCH class qualifier setting. This Boolean determines the CI candidates for search. The default option (false) searches for Star CIs and also CIs with the CMS_BROWSER_SEARCH qualifier. When this Boolean is true the search is conducted on CIs with the CMS_BROWSER_SEARCH qualifier only.
