Activate a new CP

After you package and deploy new Content Packs, you activate the content in the ITBA Connect Data Source UI. The content is created from databases (MSSQL ,ORACLE and MYSQL) according to your specific Content Pack source.

In the ITBA application, select ADMIN > Data Management > Connect Data Source. Click Add Data Source and select the relevant Content Pack you have created.

ClosedActivate a new Content Pack

  1. In the ITBA application, select Admin > Data Management > Connect Data Source.

  2. Click the Add data source to open the Data source wizard. The Add Data Source page opens.

  3. Select the CP you created and click Next.

    The relevant data source page opens.

  4. Enter and select the configuration parameters.

  5. Complete the wizard.

    The data source instance is activated.

Activation parameters are based on the Data Source Type of your Content Pack.

MSSQL Database Source CP

Instance name Enter a name for the data source instance you are activating.
<CP name> Version

Time Zone Select the time zone for the data source.
Data Source Type Select MSSQL.
Username Enter your username used to log on to the database.
Password Enter your password used to log on to the database.
Hostname/IP Address

Enter the SQL server database hostname or IP address.

Port Enter the server port number.
Database Name Enter the database name used by the CP.
Initial Load Period (months) Select the number of months from which you want the initial data loaded.

MySQL Database Source CP

Time Zone Select the time zone for the data source.
Data Source Type Select MySQL.
Username Enter your username used to log on to the database.
Password Enter your password used to log on to the database.
Hostname/IP Address Enter the MySQL server hostname or IP address.
Port Port for database connections.
Initial Database Name Load Period (months) Select the number of months from which you want the initial data loaded.

Oracle Database Source CP

Note The Oracle database can have both Server ID (SID) and Service Name properties, but the user should specify only one. If you define the SID, then the SID is used, and if you define Service Name, then Service Name is used. If you define both in the UI, only SID is used.

Data Source Type

Select Delimited File.

directory Path Enter the path where the data source file is located.
Encoding Enter the text encoding of the file. The default is UTF-8.
Field Delimiter

Enter the field delimiter for the file, such as ','.

Row Delimiter Enter the row delimiter for the file, such as '\r\n'.
Initial Load Period (months) Select the number of months from which you want the initial data loaded.

Excel File Source CP

Instance name Enter a name for the data source instance you are activating.
<CP name> Version 1
Time Zone Enter the time zone for the data source.
Data Source Type

Select Excel File.

Enter the path to excel data source file.
