Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.
Search for | Example | Results |
---|---|---|
A single word | cat
|
Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats". |
A phrase. You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase. |
"cat food" (quotation marks) |
Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations. Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase. |
Search for | Operator | Example |
---|---|---|
Two or more words in the same topic |
|
|
Either word in a topic |
|
|
Topics that do not contain a specific word or phrase |
|
|
Topics that contain one string and do not contain another | ^ (caret) |
cat ^ mouse
|
A combination of search types | ( ) parentheses |

Virtual Performance Viewer (vPV) is a web-based analysis and visualization tool that analyzes performance trends of elements in virtualized environments. vPV gives you at-a-glance visibility across your virtual environment for real-time insights into performance, capacity, and health. This helps you to optimize your infrastructure and quickly solve virtualization and cloud performance issues. It enables virtualization monitoring by providing an overview of the environment, near-real-time and historical data analysis and triaging using an interactive dashboard. It also enables monitoring for cloud and hypervisor environments. HPE vPV provides performance monitoring, graphing, and reporting in a single interface. The data imported from CO is merged into the integration with Cloud Service Automation (CSA). For details, see Integration with CO. The CSA and CSA_Demo CAPs are also available to accelerate the integration. For details, see CSA_Demo and CSA CAPs . |
Installation logs help you quickly understand what went wrong with the installation process. The installation logs are archived by the installation process in many different paths of the installation directory. FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) are a set of standards that describe document processing, encryption algorithms and other information technology standards for use within non-military government agencies and by government contractors and vendors who work with the agencies. The integration with ITBA supports Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS). Note Open JDK does not support Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) mode. To enable FIPS mode for ITBA, use either Oracle JDK. For details, see FIPS 140-2 Compliance Statement. |
To perform customizations that cannot be performed in the IDE, use the ETL Toolkit: ETL troubleshooting, correcting issues with the ETL steps, cleaning the data of the last ETL run and rerunning the ETL, or uninstalling data sources. This should only be performed in the development environment. For details, see ETL Toolkit. |
DCS Extractor Development Guide DCS enables you to extract data from a specific data source according to the relevant extraction and source model that is generated by the IDE. It consists of a plugable extractor framework for each data source. The extractor gathers data according to the request it receives from the Content Flow Manager, placing it into a set of relevant .TXT files. Each supported data source has a corresponding extractor (or multiple extractors) that is capable of extracting the relevant data out of the data source. All available extractors for Content Packs use the DCS framework. For details, see . |
In addition to permissions at the level of a Scorecard or a Page, the administrator can provide permissions at the level of a dimension and its entities (Breakdown and its values). An end-user with such a permission can view data in the Dashboard and Explorer only at the level of the specific Breakdown. For example: an end-user should be able to view only the results of KPI\Metric Breakdowns for the EMEA location and not from other locations. That end-user should not even have the option to select other locations. In the Dashboard page, after the end-user selects to view the results by Location: EMEA, the entire page is refreshed filtered for the Location:EMEA entity. For details, see Users and Roles - Dimension Permissions. |
You can specify the instance that must be completed before running the current instance in the Content Flow Management feature. For details, see Instance Trigger. |
Documentation Restructure The documentation was restructured and simplified. For details, see |
