Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Integration with DP
This section describes the integration, contexts, KPIs, Metrics, and reports associated with the integration with the Data Protector data source.
Data Protector (DP) reduces backup and recovery complexity and cost by protecting virtual and physical applications on all servers. HP Data Protector gives you powerful software reduplication and sophisticated multi-site reporting to improve storage utilization and performance. Simple snapshot functionality fully automates recovery, without restrictive backup windows.

Activate the DP Data Source
The purpose of the integration of DP as a data source is to bring quality management information into the Data Warehouse.
Select ADMIN > Data Management > Connect Data Source then click Add data source and select DP to activate the integration processes for the DP data source.

The DP Content Pack supports multiple instances.

DCS Integration: An extractor using the Data Collection Service mechanism that extracts entities from the source and generates corresponding flat files. For details, see Data Collection Service (DCS) .

The account defined in the UI or datasource.xml and the DP Client installed on the Data Warehouse server machine must have rights to access the specific Cell Manager.
Activate the Integration

To access the DP Cell Manager:

Make sure the DP Cell Manager on the network is accessible and that the DP Client is installed on your DWH server.

Create a user with access permissions to the DP Cell Manager.

Make sure there is a user on your DWH server that has the same name as the user created to access the DP Cell Manager.
Note Business Analytics supports several DP data source instances. It is recommended to have one account which has the right to access all DP Cell Managers.

Set Local Security Policy for JAVA Native Access (JNA):

Navigate to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment and add your current logon account (for running DWH) to the Replace a process level token field.
Note You must logout or reboot for this change to take effect.

Select ADMIN > Data Management > Connect Data Source then click Add data source.

The Add Data Source page opens. Select the DP data source type.

Select or enter the configuration parameters.

Click Next to proceed to the validation page.
