A single word	`cat`	Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats".
A phrase. You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase.	`"cat food"` (quotation marks)	Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations. Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase.

Configuring Event Collection

To integrate SAP Solution Manager events into OMi, perform the following steps on your Operations Connector host:

Change the current directory to <OvDataDir>/conf/HPBsmIntSapSolma/genint and open the event integration configuration file in a plain text editor.
Review the preconfigured values of basic configuration options and adjust them as needed. Add and configure advanced options if necessary. For descriptions of basic and advanced options, see Integration Configuration Options topic.
Save your changes.
If importing policies failed during installation, import them manually. Log on to the Operations Connector web interface and import the policy for SAP Solution Manager events by navigating to the <OvDataDir>/installation/HPBsmIntSapSolma/policies directory and selecting the following files:

- 077541ad-5680-4f87-bc65-80c183f699d5_header.xml
The type of the Operations Connector policy for SAP Solution Manager events is REST Web Service Listener. Operations Connector validates it after importing.
Review the policy to ensure its settings are proper for your OpsCx for SAP Solution Manager configuration.
From the Operations Connector web interface, activate the imported policy.
To start the event integration service, run the following command:

ovc -start sapevent

Startup of the service initiates event collection from SAP Solution Manager and forwarding of the events to OMi.

Verify your connection settings by checking the contents of the directory for persistency data files on the Operations Connector host. The path of the directory is defined by the persistency-dir option in the event integration configuration file. If the directory is empty or its contents do not appear to be updated, check the corresponding OpsCx for SAP Solution Manager log file. For details, see Log Files topic.

If you deactivate the Operations Connector policy for SAP Solution Manager events while the event integration service is running, events continue to be collected while the policy remains inactive after the deactivation. The processing and forwarding of accumulated events resumes when you reactivate the policy.
