Running the SAP Solution Manager Configuration Tool

To be able to connect to the SAP Solution Manager system and to establish a receiving server on the Operations Connector system, you need to run the SAP Solution Manager configuration tool. Depending on your operating system, run either sapsolman-conf.exe or sapsolman-conf.sh, and specify the required options. The configuration tool is located in:

Windows systems: <OvInstallDir>\bin\win64\HPBsmIntSapSolma

Linux systems: <OvInstallDir>/bin64/HPBsmIntSapSolma

The required configuration tool options are as follows:

Option Description

-s <SapSolManHostname>

Fully qualified domain name of the SAP Solution Manager system.

-c <SapClient>

Client of the SAP Solution Manager system.

-n <SapSystemNumber> System number of the SAP Solution Manager system.
-u <SapUser>

User name for the SAP Solution Manager system.

-p <SapPassword>

Password for the SAP Solution Manager system.

-b <BsmcHost> Fully qualified domain name of the Operations Connector system.
-x <BsmcPort> OpsCx for SAP Solution Manager event integration Web Service listener port.

The optional configuration tool options are as follows:

Option Description
--help

Displays the configuration tool help text.

--force

Overwrites existing configuration files.

--test-only

Runs a basic connection test.

The options that are used for the basic connection test are -s, -c, -n, -u, and -p.

By using the --test-only option, you do not update the configuration.

--no-colors Disables colored console output.
