Integration with OPSA

This section describes the integration, contexts, KPIs, Metrics, and reports, if any, associated with the integration with the Operation Analytics (OPSA) data source.

The purpose of the integration of OPSA as a data source is to bring Application Availability, Application Performance and Reliability information into the data warehouse.to bring Application Availability, Application Performance and Reliability information into the Data Warehouse.

The OPSA_Demo and OPSA Content Acceleration Packs (CAPs) are available to accelerate the integration with OPSA. For details, see OPSA_Demo and OPSA CAPs.

ClosedTo access:

Select ADMIN > > Data Management > Connect Data Source then click Add data source and select OpsA to activate the integration processes for the OpsA data source.

  • The OPSA Content Pack supports multiple instances.
  • All fields are case-sensitive.

ClosedActivate the Integration

  1. Prerequisite:

    • Make sure that OPSA is running.
    • Check the . for supported versions.

  2. Select ADMIN > Data Management > Connect Data Source then click Add data source.

  3. The Add Data Source page opens. Select the OPSA data source type.

  4. Select or enter the configuration parameters.

  5. Click Next to proceed to the validation page.

User interface elements are described below:

UI Element

Description

Instance name Enter a name for the data source instance you are activating.
OPSA Version

Select the relevant OPSA version. For details, see the ..

Time Zone Select the time zone for the data source.
Data Source Type

Vertica.

This parameter is read only.

User Enter your username used to log on to the OPSA database.
Password Enter your password used to log on to the OPSA database.
Hostname/IP Address The remote server on which the OPSA database resides.
Port

Enter the port in the OPSA server which waits for connections.

Database Name Enter the database name used by OPSA.
Schema Name Enter the name of the Schema.
Initial Load Period (months) Select the number of months from which you want the initial data loaded.
