Plan the Installation

Before you begin your deployment of IT Business Analytics, you should:

  • Understand the components of the application. For more information, see ITBA Components

  • Decide which type of IT Business Analytics licensing you are implementing, and if necessary purchase the relevant license key file. For more information, see Licensing.

  • Decide whether your deployment will be for Development, Test, or Proof-of-Concept (POC), or Production environments. For more information, see Deployment Solutions.

  • Decide if you want to work with SAP Business Objects Enterprise.

  • Ensure that your hardware and software meet the system requirements.

    The environments supported by IT Business Analytics are described in the Support Matrix document available from the Support Site (https://softwaresupport.hpe.com/group/softwaresupport/ or from the Installation DVD).

  • Ensure that you have reviewed the Installation checklists section. The section provides database naming and password limitations that could cause the installation to fail.

Limitation: Do not use the following characters in any of the directory names specified during the ITBA  installation procedures: % ^ & < > | ' ` , ; = ( ) ! \ [ ] "
