Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Test the example Cascade Update
- Click Tailoring > Database Manager.
- In the Form field, type the following:
contacts
- Press Enter.
HPE Service Manager displays a list of forms matching your search criteria. - Double-click contacts.
The contacts.g form opens. - Click Search.
Service Manager displays a list of all contact records. - From the pull-down options menu, select Modify columns.
- Use the drop-down arrow to change the company field to location.
- Click Proceed.
- Click in the heading of the location column to sort the list so that all contacts with the same location are shown together.
- Open a second session of Service Manager.
- Click Tailoring > Database Manager.
- In the Form field, type the following:
=location
. - Click Search or press Enter. The Search location records form opens.
- Click Search.
Service Manager displays a list of all location records. - Double-click on an ACME HQ record in the record list.
The ACME HQ location details form opens. - Change the location by typing ACME CORPORATE in the Location field.
- Click Save.
Service Manager displays the message:
location record updated. - Revert to the first session of Service Manager, which is still showing the record list of contact records.
- Click Refresh.
- All of the ACME HQ locations are now ACME CORPORATE.
