Create and update Objects

To create an Object, follow these steps:

Search for	Example	Results
A single word	`cat`	Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats".
A phrase. You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase.	`"cat food"` (quotation marks)	Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations. Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase.

Navigate to the Document Engine. See the Accessing the Document Engine section in Document Engine overview.

Double click Objects. The Objects form opens.

Use the tabs on the Objects form, to fill in the fields required to create an Object that will perform the functions you desire. See the field descriptions for additional information.

To update an Object definition, follow these steps:

Access the Document Engine. See the Accessing the Document Engine section in Document Engine overview

Enter the name of the Object you want to update in the Object field or click Search to search for the Object.
