Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Meet the system requirements
Before your proceed with the Service Manager Service Portal installation, make sure your environment meets the minimum system requirements depending on your deployment mode.
Supported deployment modes
Service Manager Service Portal supports two deployment modes:
- Single instance deployment: this mode requires only one server to host all Service Manager Service Portal services, including a PostgreSQL database required for Service Manager Service Portal. For more information, see Install and set up a single Service Manager Service Portal instance.
- Distributed deployment: this mode consists of a load balancer (Nginx), a cluster of Service Manager Service Portal application nodes, and a cluster of PostgreSQL databases. At minimum, 5 servers are needed for this deployment mode. For more information, see Deploy a distributed Service Manager Service Portal cluster.
System requirements
Make sure that each Red Hat Linux host on which Service Manager Service Portal will be installed meets the following minimum system requirements:
- CPU: 4 CPU cores
- Hard drive: 60 GB
- RAM: 8 GB
