Start the server from the UNIX command line

Applies to User roles: System Administrator

You must have administrative access to the server operating system to use this procedure.

To start the server from the UNIX command line:

  1. Change directories to your Service Manager Run directory. For example:
    cd /MicroFocus/Service Manager x.xx/Run
  2. Type the following command:
    smstart
  3. Press ENTER.
