Edit a probable cause record

System Administrator

Incident records contain a Cause Code field, which links the incident to a probable cause record. This optional field enables operators to define the probable cause of an incident. You can edit the out-of-box probable cause records to better suit the needs of your organization or to add clarity to incident descriptions.

To edit a probable cause record:

  1. Click Incident Management > Tools > Probable Cause.
  2. Use search or advanced search to find one or more records.
  3. Click a Probable Cause record to view in the Probable Cause form.
  4. Modify the fields in the Probable Cause form as necessary.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click OK.
