Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Upgrade the applications
The following diagram illustrates the HPE Service Manager 9.52 applications patch upgrade process.
Follow these steps to upgrade the applications from an earlier 9.5x version to version 9.52:

Make sure you have upgraded your Service Manager server and clients to version 9.52.

Service Manager 9.52 demo data
Service Manager 9.52 provides a demo data unload file (demodata.unl) for testing and demonstrating the 9.52 new features after you have upgraded to the 9.52 applications on a fresh installation environment. To import the data package, you must use the Apply Demo Data wizard provided by Service Manager 9.52.
Follow these steps to load the demo data unload file to a fresh installation environment:
- Upgrade the applications to version 9.52 by running the Applications Patch Manager after you installed Service Manager 9.52 binaries.

Navigate to the directory where sm9.52.00xx_Application.zip is located on the server, and then uncompress this package to get demodata.unl.

Log on to the Service Manager server as a system administrator by using the Windows client .

Click Window > Preferences on the Service Manager toolbar.
- Clear the Client side load/unload check box, and then click OK.
- Restart the Windows client, and then log on to the Service Manager server as a system administrator again.

Type demodata in the Service Manager client command box, and then press Enter to launch the Apply Demo Data wizard.

Enter the fully qualified path and file name to demodata.unl, and then click Next.
The path must be relative to the server, instead of to the client computer, if the client is not installed on the same machine as the server.

The demo data loading process may take several minutes. When the system finishes loading the demo data, it displays a message indicating that your system was successfully updated.
Note The Service Manager 9.50 out-of-box data is cleaned when loading the 9.52 demo data.
- Click Finish.
