Create a baseline

You can create a baseline record to manage the expected state of multiple related CIs. Typically, a baseline record contains attributes that CIs share in common.

To create a baseline record, follow these steps:

  1. Click Configuration Management > Resources > Baseline. The Search Baseline Records form opens.

  2. Click New. The Add New Baseline wizard opens.

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to create the baseline, and then click Save. Service Manager creates a baseline record in the Analysis state.
