Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Check software license compliance automatically

You can automatically check software license compliance in the Configuration Management application.
To check software license compliance automatically, follow these steps:
- Click Configuration Management > Administration > Software Counters.
- Use search or advanced search to find one or more records.
- Select the software counter record for which you want to check compliance.
- Click Create Schedule Record on the Results tab to launch the Schedule Software Compliance Check wizard.
- Select a date for the first compliance check to occur.
- If you want to schedule recurring compliance checks, select a date for the next compliance check to occur, and then click Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, or Annually.
- Click Finish to complete the automatic schedule.
Configuration Management creates a schedule record with the same name as the software counter record.
Note After Configuration Management completes a compliance check, it displays all results on the Results tab. Click No. of Rights on the Results tab to display a list of all the software licenses counted during the compliance check.
