Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

View Service Manager Service Portal Service Details
Concepts
The Diagnostic application provides the Service Manager Service Portal Administrator with basic monitoring and health status for Service Manager Service Portal services. Services include Service Manager Service Portal backend and user interface (UI) services.
Examples of Service Manager Service Portal backend services are Service Exchange, Identity Management (IdM), and Search.
Examples of Service Manager Service Portal UI services are Catalog Connect, Launchpad, and Shop.
Tasks
To view the detailed health status of a backend service:
- From the Launchpad, click the Diagnostics application.
- If not already selected, click Service Manager Service Portal. The high-level status of Service Manager Service Portal services is displayed.
- Click a Service Manager Service Portal backend service to display service details. (Details are not available for UI services.)
The information displayed varies by service, but typically includes:
- Service health status.
- Whether all service dependencies are met (for example, dependency on another service such as IdM, or on an internal service such as a database).
- Basic monitoring chart with information for Heap Memory Used.
Additionally, you can view and purge failed messages for the Service Exchange service.
