Access a phase or task record from a category record

Applies to User Roles:

System Administrator

You can access a phase or task record from a category record. You can then view the phase or task properties and set the appropriate fields.

To access a phase or task record from a category record, follow these steps:

  1. Click Change Management.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • Click Changes > Change Categories.
    • Click Tasks > Task Categories.
  3. Use search or advanced search to find one or more records.
  4. Click a category record to view its details, and then you can access the phase or task record.
  5. To use the Find Phase option, follow these steps:

    1. Select a phase name in the Change Phases array of the category record.
    2. Click More or the More Actions icon.
    3. Click Find Phase.
  6. To use the Search Phase option, follow these steps:

    1. From the More Actions menu, click Search Phase.
    2. Click Search to generate a record list, or type a phase name in the Change Phase field to narrow the search.
    3. Click the desired record to view it in the Phase form.
