Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.

Service Portfolio Archiving
Standard Service Manager workflows include deactivation of Service Catalog or CI records. These activities do not actively remove records from the system.
The most typical approach for archiving records is to leverage the chosen RDMS tools from Oracle or MS SQL to perform database administration for purging and archiving.
Service Manager provides an archive and purge tool that can be configured by table and criteria for archiving. This is a facility only the administrator would use. This capability allows the ability to archive either manually or on a scheduled basis.
One new capability in this area is the ability to take advantage of the Micro Focus archive tool suite. These tools allow data to be archived out of Service Manager into a system-accessible file system.
