Searching the Help
To search for information in the Help, type a word or phrase in the Search box. When you enter a group of words, OR is inferred. You can use Boolean operators to refine your search.
Results returned are case insensitive. However, results ranking takes case into account and assigns higher scores to case matches. Therefore, a search for "cats" followed by a search for "Cats" would return the same number of Help topics, but the order in which the topics are listed would be different.
Search for | Example | Results |
---|---|---|
A single word | cat
|
Topics that contain the word "cat". You will also find its grammatical variations, such as "cats". |
A phrase. You can specify that the search results contain a specific phrase. |
"cat food" (quotation marks) |
Topics that contain the literal phrase "cat food" and all its grammatical variations. Without the quotation marks, the query is equivalent to specifying an OR operator, which finds topics with one of the individual words instead of the phrase. |
Search for | Operator | Example |
---|---|---|
Two or more words in the same topic |
|
|
Either word in a topic |
|
|
Topics that do not contain a specific word or phrase |
|
|
Topics that contain one string and do not contain another | ^ (caret) |
cat ^ mouse

SACM Summary Reports
Name | Description |
---|---|
Configuration Item Relationships | The Configuration Item Relationships report breaks down the configuration items (CI) and their downstream relationships by type and then by subtype. If a CI has more than one downstream relationship, the report displays the total count. Users can double-click the count to view the full list of downstream relationships. |
Configuration Item Summary | The Configuration Item Summary report breaks down the configuration items by type and then by status. This report contains a pie chart displaying all CIs by type. Users can double-click any piece of the chart to display a detailed breakdown of the CI type by its status. This report uses grouping to provide a view of total counts by type and status. |
Percentage of Configuration Items Related to Other Configuration Items | The Percentage of Configuration Items Related to Other Configuration Items report provides an overview of the number of CIs within the CMDB for which the relationship with other CIs has been defined compared to the total number of CIs within the Configuration Management System (CMS). It only shows the relationship between CIs. This report contains a graphical representation of the breakdown of all CIs by relationship with other CIs using a pie chart. Users can double-click the “CI related to other CIs” piece of the pie to display a detailed breakdown of that CI type by its subtypes. This report organizes the information using groups and sub-groups to help users quickly view percentages and total counts by type and subtype of CIs. |
SACM Compliance Reports
Name | Description |

Actual policy statuses | Displays policy status information on all CIs for which there are defined policies |
All authorized changes | Displays all authorized changes that occurred between two points in time |
All detected changes | Displays all changes that were detected between two points in time |
Authorized configuration comparison | Compares authorized changes in configuration between two points in time |
Authorized planned changes | Displays all planned changes that were authorized between two points in time |
Authorized unplanned changes | Displays all unplanned changes that were authorized between two points in time |
Changes pending authorization | Displays all changes that are pending authorization |
Configuration comparison | Compares configurations between two points in time |
Detailed policy drift | Compares the policy status on all CIs for which there are defined policies and displays detailed policy information about the breached CIs between two points in time |
In-breach CIs | Displays policy status information for all CIs whose policies are in breach |
CMS Reports
Name | Description |

Application Breakdown Report | This report displays a breakdown of applications and their versions. Major applications are Running Software CITs that have been assigned the MAJOR_APP class qualifier. |
Asset Report | This report displays a list of all the CIs in a specified view, their attribute values, as well as their child CIs in the CMDB. |
Changed Application Report | This report displays a bar graph showing the number of detected changes in applications within a defined period. |
Changed Views Report | This report displays the number of changes that occurred in a specific view within a defined period. |
CI Change Report | The CI Change report enables you to view and analyze the actual changes made to a specific CI and its children. |
CMDB Utilization Report | This report displays general CMDB statistics. For example, the statistics can include the number of Impact rules created, how many CIs are contained in the CMDB, or how many snapshots have been taken. |
Compare Archives Report | This report enables you to compare two archived reports or an archived report to the current version of the report. |
Compare CIs Report | This report enables you to compare the hierarchies of two compound CIs. A compound CI is a CI that is linked to another CI by a relationship with the CONTAINER qualifier. You can display the compared CIs and their child CIs that appear in a selected view, or in the CMDB. |
Compare Snapshots Report | This report enables you to compare two snapshots of a specific view taken at different times. It enables you to visualize the differences between the views by comparing the statuses of the view at the times the snapshots were taken. |
Configuration Manager Policy Report | This report displays Configuration Manager policy compliance level data. |
Database Breakdown Report | This report displays the breakdown of database types and versions. You can view all databases deployed in the system or the databases deployed at a specific location. |
Delete Candidates Report | This report displays the CITs and relationships that were deleted within a defined period, and the ones that are about to be deleted. |
Dependency Report |
This report enables you to generate a list of all the relationships of the type Dependency that connect between servers in the selected view, or between the servers in the CMDB and the servers within the selected view. The report includes relationships that:

Discovery Errors Report | This report enables you to uncover specific problems that Data Flow Management encounters during a run, for example, incorrect credentials. |
Generic Breakdown Report |
This report displays the breakdown of CI types by the following:
|
Gold Master Report | This report compares one or more CIs to another CI that has been designated as a Gold Master, and specifies which of the compared CIs are configured differently from the Gold Master CI. |
Impact Analysis Report | This report displays a list of CIs that are impacted in the system as a result of simulated changes. |
Network Device Breakdown Report | This report displays a breakdown of network devices. |
Node OS Breakdown Report | This report displays a breakdown of operating systems. You can view all deployed operating systems or you can view data for operating systems at a certain location or running on a certain subnet. |

Topology Report | This report displays the topology of a view in report format. |
Reporting cost
Micro Focus Executive Scorecard provides transparency into the cost of a service and its distribution to the different consumers. The Micro Focus Executive Scorecard measures the value proposition of a service based on the use of the service components (Network, Storage, Server and Application).
Reporting Service Requirements
Micro Focus Executive Scorecard tracks requirements, project scope changes and service proposals based on Requirement Management and Portfolio Demand Management. These can be measured also on a service level.
