Zone-Based Discovery Errors Report

This report enables you to uncover specific problems that Data Flow Management encounters while running activities in the selected Management Zones, for example, incorrect credentials.

To access

Select Modeling > Reports. In the Custom Reports pane, do one of the following:

  • Click the Create New Report button and select Zone-Based Discovery Errors Report.

  • Under Discovery Status:

    • Double-click Zone-Based Discovery Errors Report.

    • Right-click Zone-Based Discovery Errors Report and select Create New Report.

    • Select Zone-Based Discovery Errors Report, and drag it onto the right pane.

Important information
  • Choose which columns to display by clicking the Select Columns button.

  • Hide a column by right-clicking its header and selecting Remove Column.

  • Hide empty columns by right-clicking a header and selecting Remove Empty Columns.

  • Change the order of columns by dragging and dropping a column header.

UI Element (A-Z) Description

Activity Type Select the type of discovery activity for which to display errors. To display all types of discovery activity errors, select All.
Management Zones Select the Management Zones for which to display errors. You can select all Management Zones, or specific Management Zones.
Generate Click to generate the report.
Severity

Select the types of error to display. For error definitions, see Error Severity Levels.

Note You can select multiple error types.

Time range

Select a time frame over which to display the errors. The system automatically provides the start and end dates in the Date from and Date until boxes.

Note To manually customize the Date from and Date until values, select Custom from the Time Range list.

The generated report includes the following elements (listed alphabetically):

UI Element (A-Z) Description
CI Type The CIT of the trigger CI.
Error Message The detailed error message.
Error Summary A brief summary of the error.
Job The job for which the error was reported.
Probe The Data Flow Probe that reported the error.
Related IPs IPs known to be related to the trigger CI.
Related Node The node that is related to the trigger CI.
Severity The error severity level (Warning, Error, Fatal Error).
Time Error Reported The time the error was reported.
Trigger CI The trigger CI on which the error was reported.
