Discovery Errors Report

This report enables you to uncover specific problems that Data Flow Management encounters during a run, for example, incorrect credentials.

To access

Select Managers > Modeling > Reports. In the Custom Reports pane, do one of the following:

  • Click the Create New Report button and select Discovery Errors Report.

  • Under Discovery Status:

    • Double-click Discovery Errors Report.

    • Right-click Discovery Errors Report and select Create New Report.

    • Select Discovery Errors Report, and drag it onto the right pane.

Important information
  • Choose which columns to display by clicking the Select Columns button.

  • Hide a column by right-clicking its header and selecting Remove Column.

  • Hide empty columns by right-clicking a header and selecting Remove Empty Columns.

  • Change the order of columns by dragging and dropping a column header.

Note The Discovery Errors report is only relevant for errors in jobs that are currently active.

<Shortcut Menu> Right-click a CI in the report to access the IT Universe Manager shortcut menu. For details, see IT Universe Manager Shortcut Menu.

Discovery Module Select the module for which to display errors. You can select all modules or specific modules.
Discovery Probe Select a Data Flow Probe.
Generate Click to generate a list of errors.
Severity

Select the types of error to display. For error definitions, see Error Severity Levels.

Note You can select multiple error types.

Time range

Select a time frame over which to display the errors. The system automatically provides the start and end dates in the Date from and Date until boxes.

Note If you select Custom, you can manually configure a start and end date in the Date from and Date until boxes.

The generated report includes the following elements (listed alphabetically):

UI Element (A-Z) Description
CI Type The CIT of the trigger CI.
Count The number of errors contained in the Error Summary group.
Error Message The detailed error message.
Error Summary

A brief summary of the error.

Note Similar errors are grouped together. The count column shows the number of errors.

Job The job for which the error was reported.
Probe The Data Flow Probe that reported the error.
Related IPs IPs known to be related to the trigger CI.
Related Node The node that is related to the trigger CI.
Severity The error severity level (Warning, Error, Fatal Error).
Time Error Reported The time the error was reported.
Trigger CI The trigger CI on which the error was reported.
